The music video for "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" featured in The John Lennon Video Collection, released in 1992, incorporated imagery from Lennon and Ono's 1969 "War is Over!" billboard campaign. It included candid photographs of the couple and their son Sean from the late 1970s, along with footage of a boys' choral ensemble singing alongside the original Harlem Community Choir vocals.

In 2003, a new video was crafted for the remastered 5.1 version of the song on the DVD "Lennon Legend: The Very Best of John Lennon". This version used documentary footage, primarily depicting children, from the Vietnam War and recent scenes from various conflicts, including the Horn of Africa, the Bosnian War, the 9/11 attack in New York City, and the US wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The visuals complement the song's anti-war sentiment, reinforcing the message of hope and the call for a collective effort to end conflicts.

At the outset of the song, there are two whispers. Yoko Ono whispers, "Happy Christmas, Kyoko" (referring to her daughter with Anthony Cox, Kyoko Chan Cox), and John Lennon whispers, "Happy Christmas, Julian" (addressing his son with Cynthia, Julian Lennon).

L'EP "Christmas" dels Pet Shop Boys, llançat per Parlophone, presenta una versió reformulada del seu exclusiu single per al club de fans de 1997 "It Doesn't Often Snow at Christmas" i una nova versió del tema "All Over the World" del seu desè àlbum d'estudi "Yes", amb una producció addicional de Marius de Vries. It's interesting to note that "Fairytale of New York" was initially intended as a duet between Shane MacGowan and Cait O'Riordan, the Pogues' bass player and, at the time, the future Mrs. Costello (Elvis Costello). However, Cait O'Riordan left the band before the song was officially released. Kirsty MacColl, who happened to be the wife of Steve Lillywhite, the producer for the track, recorded her vocal for a demo. Upon hearing Kirsty's contribution, Shane MacGowan decided to re-record his vocals to match her standard. Remarkably, the two singers never had a studio session together; their performances were combined in post-production.

The music video for "Fairytale of New York" was directed by Peter Dougherty and effectively captures the narrative of the song. It features scenes of Shane MacGowan and Kirsty MacColl in character, set against the backdrop of New York City. SHAKIN’ STEVENS - MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

"Merry Christmas Everyone" is a festive song by Welsh singer-songwriter Shakin' Stevens. Penned by Bob Heatlie and produced by Dave Edmunds, it marked Shakin' Stevens' fourth and, as of now, last number one single on the UK Singles Chart. Originally scheduled for release in 1984, the song was delayed by a year to avoid conflicting with the release of the Band Aid’s "Do They Know It's Christmas?" single.

Shakin' Stevens reflected on "Merry Christmas Everyone" in The Observer Music Monthly on December 18, 2005, stating, "It was written for me by a guy called Bob Heatlie. As soon as we heard it, we thought, 'If it's marketed right, it could be #1.' I'm very, very proud to be associated with a #1 classic Christmas song, up there with your Bings and your Lennons and Slades. It's very difficult to get a Christmas #1 with traditional lyrics. The radio stations have a 'sleigh list,' and they only start playing them two and a half weeks before Christmas."

The video for "Merry Christmas Everyone" was filmed in Lapland. Shakin' Stevens shared the experience, saying, "We were halfway up a mountain but unfortunately it wasn't snowing, so we had to bring in some snow machines. And I remember lunch was cold salad, which was a bit bizarre!"
